Wine with a view

Both at Røsnæs and several other places within Destination Zealand, beautiful rows of vines are aligned on the south-facing slopes sunbathing. Every year the vines generate grapes for the winegrowers in the area, who have won prizes both nationally and internationally for their wines several times.

Less rainfall, less freezing temperatures, proximity to the sea and far more sunlight than the national average and special soil conditions make Røsnæs unique examples of terroir – where nature, geology and climate unite ultimately for winegrowing and give the vines their unique characteristics.

On the wineries the winegrowers welcome you and they gladly give you a guided tour in the vineyards, where you can learn about the production of primarily rosé wine, sparkling wines and white wine, just as they are producing liquors, dessert wine and liqueurs some of the places as well.

The vineyards on the west coast of Zealand are located close to the coast. This means that on your guided tours, you can enjoy the view of Kalundborg Fjord or Nekselø.

At the end of the visits to the wineries you have the possibility to taste the wines or visit their farm shop where the wine and other delicacies are being sold, just as you can enjoy the drops when visiting the eateries within Destination Zealand.

Restaurants

Herbs are being picked in the forest, fish are caught by the coast and unique local products are being selected from local producers, when the eateries perform magic in their kitchens.
