Wine with a view

At Røsnæs and several other locations within Destination Zealand, beautiful rows of vines stretch across the south-facing slopes, bathing in the sun.

Each year, these vines produce grapes for local winemakers, who have repeatedly won awards both nationally and internationally for their wines.

In the wine region of Røsnæs, nature, geology, and climate give the wines their unique character.

Less rainfall, milder winters, proximity to the sea, more sunlight than the national average, and unique soil conditions make Røsnæs a distinctive example of terroir—where nature, geology, and climate come together and give the wines their unique character.

On the Wineries the winegrowers welcome you and they gladly give you a guided tour in the vineyards, where you can learn about the production of primarily rosé wine, sparkling wines and white wine, just as they are producing liquors, dessert wine and liqueurs some of the places as well.

The vineyards on the west coast of Zealand are located close to the sea, so during your guided tour you can enjoy views of Kalundborg Fjord or the island Nekselø.

At the end of your visit, you can taste the wines or explore the farm shop, where wines and other local delicacies are available. You can also enjoy these wines at the restaurants and cafés throughout Destination Zealand.
