Here you will have exquisite gastronomy and local culinary experiences, and the eateries are located like cosy gems in the forest, unique resting places by the coast or in symbiosis with farm life in the countryside, while the cafes constitute beautiful oases while shopping in the boroughs.     

The eateries have roots in the past and in the Danish cuisine, and are adding innovation when applying the unique local products.

Every year you can explore the unique local products and eateries at Zealand, when the food festival Smag Lokalt (eat locally) are held in cooperation with proficient local participants, eateries and producers. 

The culinary exertions are several places accompanied by sublime local wines. Both at Røsnæs and several other places within Destination Zealand long beautiful rows of vines are growing on the sunny south-facing slopes. 

Every year the vines produce grapes for the winegrowers in the area, whom in several occasions have won prizes both nationally and internationally for their wines. 

The local grapes and drops flow on several eateries and become the icing on the cake when you enjoy the delicacies from Destination Zealand.
