Within Destination Zealand, you will find child-friendly beaches, Blue Flag beaches, and beaches that invite an active beach life.

In the northern part of Sorø Lake (Sorø Sø), you will even find a small beach with shallow water.

Of all the beaches on Zealand, those within Destination Zealand are among the most child-friendly, with no dangerous currents or unexpected depths.

Instead, you will find wide, white beaches with shallow water, allowing both adults and children to play in the water together or build impressive sandcastles on the beach.

At Musholm Bugt Strand (beach), close to Musholm Bugt Feriecenter, you will find a wheelchair-accessible beach.

In Holbæk, Filmtorvet offers green areas and a harbour bath where both young and older people gather, while Vesterlyng Strand is known as one of Denmark’s finest beaches.

If the weather does not invite a swim, you can still explore the beach. Here, the whole family can search for amber, interesting and beautiful stones, or remains washed ashore during storms.

At several places along the coastline, you will find beaches that merge almost seamlessly with steep slopes and beautiful forests, where you can find shelter from the wind while enjoying the view.
