Family-friendly beaches for everyone

From Bisserup Strand in the south to Orø Strand in the north, you will find a beach for every temper and purpose.

Within Destination Zealand you find child-friendly beaches, Blue-Flag beaches (quality scheme) and beaches inviting for active beach-life.

In the northern part of Sorø you even find a small beach with shallow water.

Of all the beaches on Zealand, the beaches within Destination Zealand are some of the most child-friendly ones, without dangerous current and unexpected depths.

Instead, you will find wide and white beaches with shallow water enabling both grown-ups and kids to frolic together in the water or build impressive sandcastles on the beach.

On Musholm Bugt Strand (beach) close to Musholm Bugt Feriecenter you find a wheelchair accessible beach.

In Holbæk, Filmtorvet offers green areas and a harbour bath, where young and older people gather, while Eskebjerg Vesterlyng Strand previously are known as some of Denmark´s nicest beaches.

If the weather doesn’t encourage you to a swim you can explore the beach instead. Here the whole family can search for amber, funny and beautiful stones or remains washed ashore in storms.

Several places along the coastline you find beaches almost fused into steep slopes and beautiful forests, where you can find shelter for the wind while enjoying the view.
