Out in the open – the adventures are awaiting

Whether you are into several days of hiking and sleeping in nature or just a single day walking some kilometres, within Destination Zealand there are routes that meet your requests.

You can plan your own routes or choose already planned routes. Whichever you choose, great nature experiences are awaiting.

You can try the trails Højderygstien, Fjordstien along Isefjorden or the hilly Ica Age landscape at Røsnæs, among others. Along the lakes Skarresø, Maglesø or Kundby Mose, you also get really close to nature.

Explore Fugledegård and the nature park Naturpark Åmosen, visit the islands, study the history of the ferries or enjoy nature by the Great Belt Bridge and Lejodden by Korsør. Destination Zealand offers many different planned clover-marked trails, Kløverstier, where you can walk, run or ride a bike for four different distances and at the same time study the specific local area.

Sjællandsleden offer more than 500 kilometres of hiking routes, where you hike through forests, fields and beaches. Every route is filled with cultural experiences and nature attractions and is divided into stages of typically 8-15 kilometres.

At Fodsporet (footprint trail) you can experience deer on the run, birds migrating and a lot of additional wildlife. You can also go hunting for wild food – you may find buckthorn, blackberries and apples along the trail, that runs 48 kilometres through the landscape of west Zealand.
